These casting spoons from Dardevle have been a classic lure in angler's tackle boxes since 1918, and they have been around for so long for a good reason. The Dardelve casting spoon features a unique slow wobbling action that flashes reflected light into fishes eyes, drawing them while also acting like an injured baitfish.
The Dardevle Spoon is available in three different models the Imp, Dardevlet, and the Classic Dardevle. The Imp is the smallest of the three, coming in at 2.25 inches long and 2/5 oz in weight. This little spoon is the perfect size for targeting trout, smallmouth bass, and walleye. The next size up is the Dardevlet coming in at 2-7/8" long and weighs 3/4oz. It is perfect for targeting largemouth bass, walleye, trout, salmon, and northern pike. Last, the classic 1 oz Dardelve is 3-5/8" long. It is great for targeting Lake Trout, Salmon, Musky, and Northern Pike. We recommend the Red and White classic for clear/ slightly stained water and the Fire Tiger for more stained/dark water for choosing the color.
I always have a few of these in my tackle box because there so versatile, we have no problems catching a variety of fish species like Northern Pike, Walleye, Bass, Trout, and Salmon. I remember having a cheap plastic tackle box full of Red and White Classic Darevles as a young boy paddling around by myself In the north woods of Minnesota, pulling in what I thought at the time were big northern pike.
